Urology 2.0 is the follow up to the 2007 meeting Advancing Urologic Science and Career Development held by NIDDK. The goals of the Urology 2.0 workshop are to review the underlying knowledge base supporting benign urological research and the recruitment of M.D. and Ph.D. scientists into urological research and to accelerate the development of multi-disciplinary research teams at all levels. The meeting agenda items to be covered, including the breakout sessions are:
- Scientific Opportunities in urology research: re-defining the symptomatic nature of urological disorders and the development of multi-disciplinary teams to study normal and disease processes.
- Institutions: Research Training and Recruitment into Urological Research, which will review the research training opportunities supported by urology programs.
- NIDDK, AUA, and AUA Foundation: Research Training and the Road to Independence, which will examine the actions taken by NIDDK, AUA, and AUA Foundation to support the urology research community
When making travel arrangements, please note that the meeting will take place near the Ronald Reagan National Airport.
Your registration by July 8 will facilitate our meeting preparations, including breakout discussion logistics. I hope to see you on July 14.
