The November 12, 2008 retreat drew approximately 350 behavioral and social scientists from 26 of the 27 National Institutes of Health (NIH) Institutes/Centers (ICs). At least one representative from each of the NIH ICs, excluding the Center for Information Technology (CIT), participated in Behavioral and Social Sciences at NIH: Advancing the Science Together.
